Product Summary

The HERCULES Braided Fly Fishing Line Backing combines an 8-strand hollow braided construction with high visibility, reliable strength, and easy installation. Available in 20LB and 30LB strengths and 100- or 300-yard lengths, it provides the extra capacity needed when powerful fish take you deep into the backing. The HERCULES Braided Fly Fishing Line Backing is designed to add extra line capacity to your fly reel while helping reduce fly line memory and improve line retrieval.

Key Features

• 8-Strand Hollow Braided Construction — Made with tightly braided multifilament for a durable, abrasion-resistant backing line with a smooth and flexible feel.
• Adds Extra Line Capacity — Provides additional length behind your fly line when a strong fish makes a long run beyond the reach of your fly line.
• Helps Reduce Line Memory — The additional diameter on the reel helps reduce excessive memory loops and improves line retrieval when reeling in.
• 20LB & 30LB Options — 20LB is suitable for trout, bass, and general freshwater fishing; 30LB is designed for salmon, steelhead, bonefish, stripers, and other stronger-running fish.
• 100 & 300 Yards — Available in 100-yard and 300-yard lengths to accommodate different reel capacities and fishing setups.
• High-Visibility Colors — Available in five color options, making it easier to identify and organize different fly line setups while providing better visibility on the reel.
• Thin Yet Strong Design — Offers a practical balance between a slim diameter and sufficient strength, helping maximize available reel capacity.
• Easy to Install — Designed to load onto a fly reel smoothly with minimal twisting during installation.
• Easy to Knot & Splice — The hollow braided construction can accommodate blind-splice loops, providing convenient connection options for fly fishing setups.
• Reliable for Long Runs — Provides extra backing capacity and added confidence when targeting fish capable of making long, fast runs.
